TDY

This past week Justin had to go TDY to F.E. Warren AFB in Wyoming for a script writing class. Unlike last time, I got to go with him! We drove down to Wyoming last weekend, about 11.5 hour drive, and stayed with our friends Luke and Joanna for the week. We've known them since we were in Alabama and they were at Vandenberg with us as well. More than anything, it was really great to see them and hang out somewhere not here.

On our way down, we stopped in Billings for lunch at Olive Garden and went to Best Buy. The week before last I was vacuuming and sucked up Justin's headphones on accident and broke them so he had to get some new ones.

Welcome to Wyoming. Another state I can check off my list of place I've been.

We stopped for the night in Sheridan, Wyoming. It was a cute little town with a downtown area.

On Sunday, we finished the drive down to F.E. Warren. Not that anyone else can really tell, but Wyoming looks about the same as Montana.

The base is in Cheyenne. It's a small town like Great Falls but it has way more stores and restaurants. The city itself is much more our style than where we live, although I think I like our base better than F.E.

We brought the kitties with us, which was interesting considering our friends have a cat and a dog. As we expected, Swirly was afraid of them for the first half of the week. When we got there, she buried herself on the bed. She crawled under there all on her own.

As the week went on, the kitties got more used to other animals and Fatty even explored the house with their cat Houdini. Swirly made herself at home, right in front of the television.

I already knew we couldn't have more pets, but this past week made it real. My kitties don't really like other animals all that much, so they are not going to have any more animal friends in the house.

While we were there, we drove down to Fort Collins, Colorado, which is only about 40 minutes south of Cheyenne. On the way we passed the Budweiser brewery.

Fort Collins is an awesome college town. If we lived in Cheyenne, we would be in Fort Collins every weekend.

All in all, we had a fantastic week with our friends. It was great to get out of town for a bit but I'm glad to be home.
